A Bit About Me...
I am now in my 23rd year of teaching grade at St. Mary in Brockville, where I have been for the duration of my career. This year I am full time in the classroom teaching the 8-3 class. In addition to my classroom responsibilities I am also involved in coaching the elementary cross country and track and field teams, along with my colleague and good friend Mr. Kelly. As well I will organize our school track meet and coach the Crusader track and field team in the spring.
I have a strong belief in and passion for incorporating technology in the school and have worked to produce the annual Stop Motion Awards, where the best grade animation projects are screened for the elementary division. A vibrant school is a school where students are engaged in meaningful assessment tasks. I am by no means a "tech expert", but challenge myself to learn along with students in finding creative ways to use new technology in the class. With challenge comes opportunity and growth.
In my time outside of school I enjoy running and fishing, and with my recent purchase of a digital DSLR camera, improving my skills as a photographer. Summer days will find me in the pool with family and friends or on the water enjoying the Thousand Islands and surrounding area.
